Maelstrom Ride - Dec. 12-13, 2021

Riding from El Cerito, CA to Springfield/Corvallis, Oregon through an atmospheric river. 

Cold rain has no end. Dreams of sunshine remain only dreams. Yet cold wet suffering makes you tougher. Or at least the Imp of the Perverse is convinced we are stronger as a result.

What didn’t Gandalf break on this ride? Doesn’t matter since DJ brought the entire shop in his side cases and repairs were made. Also, discovered that hard cases serve as good anchors for stopping a bike on gravel when it goes down. For the record Gandalf would like to avoid riding without ANY brakes ever again and we need to find milkshakes on every ride. BRAP IT!
